Beratung und Betreuung

Deine Aufgaben in diesem Auslandspraktikum im Architekturbüro werden vor allem im Bereich Projektplanung und Management von Großbaustellen liegen. Du wirst als Assistent des Geschäftsführers in jedes Projekt, welches das Unternehmen leitet, einbezogen sein. Derzeitige Projekte (Bereich Infrastruktur) sind unter anderem der Bau eines Gesundheitszentrums (650m²), die Umstrukturierung und der Ausbau eines weiteren Gesundheitszentrums (650m²) sowie der Bau eines Messezentrums inkl. Apartment Hotel (12 Stockwerke, 3500m²). Des Weiteren ist ein Wohngebäude in Planung, dessen Bau bald beginnen wird.

For the office it is important to give you an inside how architectures are working in Argentina, by working independently in the studio. The tasks are therefore depending on your interests and knowledge. During the internship in the architectural office you will also have the possibility to get to know other architect’s office.

The internship will mainly deal with project planning and management of large construction sites. The intern will be involved as an assistant of the managing director in each project, which is run by the company. Current projects are, among other things, the construction of a health center (650m²), the restructuring and the expansion of another health center (650m²), as well as the construction of an exhibition center incl. an apartment hotel (12 floors, 3500m²). The volunteers will meet during the week to plan and prepare activities, events and workshop. These activities will be carried out on weekends. The volunteer can also participate in the area of project development. The field of work might be adapted to the profile of the particular intern and therefore is (depending on the establishment slightly to highly) variable.

Your tasks during this volunteering in an NGO for homeless people are: The participation in the nocturnal tours with other volunteers to distribute hot beverages, food and to have a chat with the homeless people.

The foundation provides the needy persons with food, clothing and basic medical care. It organizes events to inform underprivileged people about their rights and additionally they work together with other NGOs. The homeless get support in finding an employment and housing. In addition, it supports literacy campaigns and provides tutoring, as well as training and leisure activities.

Possible areas, depending on the profile of the volunteer:

Communication and Marketing: Assistance of the management of the website and Facebook fanpage, planning and organising charity events

Administrative tasks: office activities e.g. make outgoing and receive incoming phone calls, updating information in databases, assistance of archiving, etc.

Social work: visiting the food assistance centers to supervise the food distribution, to see if all donations are handed out or if food is missing

Storage and organization: Distributing the food to the centers, classification, storage and portioning the products

Events: Participating in Fundraising or collection campaigns which usually take place at the weekend
